The majority of the IMA’s work is currently performed with no financial compensation. We accept individual contributions through Patreon. The IMA does not and will never accept corporate funding. We may accept government and foundation funding as our capacity and needs dictate.

Full financial records for the IMA are available upon request. Please contact independentmediaus@gmail.com if you have a records request.

We hold all associates to the Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics.

All rights to original media published through IMA channels belong to the credited contributor, except for rights to previously existing media - those rights belong to their respective owners.

The organization cannot offer protection or hold responsibility for the risk of harm and injury that may occur while acting as an independent journalist and all associates must understand this. We are released from all liability by acceptance of associate status.
